Hope?

I came across this article.

I don’t know if the concept of so many people pinning hope on this one man is touching or is it just the style of writing, choice of words. Some of the things written there suggests that some time in the future, Hollywood’s going to make a movie on it.

In any case, I am not really concerned who’s going to be the President as neither would do anything radical to help alleviate the troubles and mess already made.

However, it would be interesting to see if the “equality” and “liberty” are upheld in this country.

I used to sympathize with the “white people” of USA, thinking they are now being overrun by people of all other colors, creed and race. But then, one quick look into the history, I don’t feel the same. This country doesn’t really belong to any one particular race/creed. The very foundation was built on liberty and freedom of the human spirit. We can’t really accuse someone of the crimes committed by their “ancestors”. At the same, pity someone for the wrongs done unto their ancestors. This is remarkably similar to the caste system and its effects on today’s society of India.

There can’t be one right and one wrong side to this debate. As diplomatically as it can be put, human beings are like that. We can’t simply blame humans for every wrong done unto nature, at the same, can’t shirk from our responsibility either.

As a race/species, we are as guilty as innocent for everything done. This might be a resignation to everything happening around us, but, can there be any other explanation to it?

A weird Sunday, isn’t it? May be it’s the weather.
